Deep Space: Dimitri From Paris + National Ice Cream Day

Submitted by on Sunday, 17 July 2011No Comment

MONDAY 18

Ok…so…Dimitri From Paris (aka Dimitri From Tokyo) is a GOD in my world…in ANY world! Besides keeping his reedit disco tracks on heavy rotation every week at My Chiffon is Wet, I’ve been in love with his Turkish tookus since his A Night at the Playboy Mansion release a decade ago! Tonight, he’ll be spinning alongside Deep Space resident Francois K…and you can be sure there will be plenty of tracks spun from his and Bob Sinclair’s latest CD Knights of the Playboy Mansion…Glorious!

Cielo, 18 Little West 12th St bet Ninth Ave and Washington St, NYC, 212-645-5700, 10pm, $15

National Ice Cream Day

Finally…it’s National Ice Cream Day again! Not an official holiday, but Ronald Regan was smart enough back-in-the-day to proclaim a tasty day dedicated to pure indulgence and empty calories! Come satisfy your oral fixation and celebrate today’s sweetness at The Big Gay Ice Cream Truck, parked on the corner of Broadway and 17th St from 2:30-9pm…and watch for their new store opening in the East Village next month!
