Amy Winehouse’s family and boyfriend are set to appear on the premier of Anderson, the new talk show hosted by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper. The late singer’s parents Mitch and Janis, as well as her boyfriend, film director Reg Traviss, will be the first guests on the new series. This is the first public discussion by the Winehouse family about Amy’s death on July 23 at the age of 27. The interview will apparently “examine the singer’s self-destructive behavior and her family’s attempts to help her”.

Host Anderson Cooper said:

We want it to be a look at what happened to her and the struggles that she was facing and the struggles that the family was facing in trying to get [her] help and her incredible talent and career… I’m glad they’re [her family] willing to talk to us.
