sasha2.jpg

The 90’s UK trance DJ team re-unite for their first North American tour in six years. Tonight the duo play their latest hi-tech mix of electronic dance, breaks, and progressive house. This might be the last time around the bin for the elders, so check them out before they reach the dreaded plateau of “legendary” status!

Blowoff party

blowoff2.jpg

Bob Mould of alternative rock band Hüsker Dü and electronic producer Richard Morel bring their mix of indie rock, electronic, house, burly bears, and leather daddies back to NYC. It’s supposed to be a “mixed” party, but even one grown man walking around with fleshlights dangling from his nipples is certainly a select crowd- parental guidance suggested!

Highline Ballroom, 431 W 16th St bet Ninth and Tenth Aves, (212) 414-5994, 11:30pm, $12

kostume1.jpg

Multimedia artists plus whimsical souls equals a room full of freaks!!! Founders of the Burning Man Fashion Camp and Splashdown (which has something to do with that elicit sex and fire party out in the desert) host their fourth annual costume ball. This year’s theme is mysticism- think horns, animals, bring a gerbil if you like. It’s all under the auspices of freedom!

Tartan Day Parade

Got some old Vivienne Westwood you wanna wear? Bag pipers, drummers, and Scottish groupies celebrate Scotlands past and present with a “colorful” procession in the final rap up to Tartan Week- plaid panties optional!
