He’s Hill-arious!  He’s the host with the most! He makes polyester somewhat breathable!  He’s a real razzler dazzler. He’s New York’s downtown superstar and international entertainment phenomenon MR. MURRAY HILL! This fabulous star of stage, television, music videos, laptops, bingo halls and big screens has dazzled audiences the world over with his unique brand of interactive humor and old school showbiz. And now Murray is pleased to bring his infamous THE MURRAY HILL SHOW, a one-man show with showgirls, a band and plenty of showbiz fanfair to Joe’s Pub for a one-night-only affair.

Tonight’s show features his trademark blend of hammy Borscht Belt humor, irreverent monologues, joint-popping slapstick, so-bad-it’s-gotta-be-good crooning, biting celebrity impersonations, freewheeling ad-libbing, and raucous audience interaction (known by those in the trade as “crowd work”).  He’ll regale the audience with tales from his early showbiz days—like getting discovered by Don Rickles while bussing tables at The Copacabana; opening for the guy who opened for the guy who opened for Martin and Lewis in the Catskills; his fifth career comeback and chronic middle-aged crisis; and, of course, cavorting with and losing the ladies (including one of his 12 ex-fiancés, who dumped him for a younger, dashing and cerebral Regis Philbin).  In short, be prepared for a mix of old-fashioned highball class with madcap contemporary humor and Hill-arious improv.
