Lindsey-Jack-426x426

NYC’s Lindsey has shared her new single “Jack”, produced by The Twilite Tone (Kanye West/ John Legend/ Pusha T) and Sammy Bananas (Fool’s Gold). The song originated with Lindsey and The Twilite Tone’s mutual passion for the intersection of 80s R&B and dance music and desire to put a contemporary spin on the sounds of artists like Dynasty, Loose Ends, Lil Louis and, of course, Steve “Silk” Hurley.

Lindsey (aka DJ Lindsey) has been evolving her intergenre naturalism through her beloved DJ nights and original music. She was the co-creator of the influential Negroclash party at APT, which explored African American’s contributions to electronic music and her party with DJ Myles, The Hump, explored the years ’88-’98 and was voted People’s Choice: Best Party by Paper Magazine. She has sung back up vocals for The Rapture, Beans, Great Weekend, and has released a 12” single with Eli Escobar. Even Prince has called on her skills for private events! “Jack” embodies the heart of Lindsey’s aesthetic, which jumps across genres and is unafraid to mix a history lesson into the fun.
