Singer Beth Ditto has her own plus-sized clothing line coming early next year! Until then, she’s collaborating with longtime friend Jean Paul Gaultier on a limited edition T-shirt. A trompe l’oeil visual play, it features a front and back print of Gaultier’s iconic bullet bra corset on an oversize dress-length T-shirt, with three-dimensional adjustable corset laces on the back and can be purchased here.

Due out this February, Beth’s collection will feature current styling with a vintage flair. The focus is on vibrant prints and well-tailored pieces, with silks, rayons and embroidery that are frequently missing from plus-size lines. Having gone from a punk-rocker altering Goodwill finds to fit her to being a fashion icon in her own right with a recent turn on Marc Jacobs’ runway, Beth is no stranger to the struggle of plus-sized women to find fashionable clothes that fit. “This line is by us, for us, period”, says Ditto. “It’s my lifelong dream to get to design real clothes for big people, clothes that are comfortable and cool!”
