The Bravery + Living Things + The Dusty + The Mars Volta
THURSDAY 8
The Bravery + Living Things + The Dusty
We’re willing to give The Bravery one more chance. Back in 2005, the NYC band made a dance floor splash with single An Honest Mistake…the rest of the debut album was parched and cracked at best. Now, they’re making a sort of comeback with third album Stir The Blood, due out in November. We really wanna like them again, but…just checked the track list for the new CD and there’s a remix of An Honest Mistake on there!!! Come on guys, is that all ya got? See for yourself tonight!

The Mars Volta
Concept band The Mars Volta are in NYC, working out their latest album Octahedron. So, what’s a concept band? You have to hear it to know it. For starters, they’re known for having albums with no cuts on the track starts… Basically making one really long song. This time around the 15 piece band (they say 15…we see 2) is doing a “pop” album…in a prog-ish way. It’s all a bit epic, over-the-top, and beautifully schizoid.
