About:
I got started in drag when I dressed up as Elvira for work on Halloween, as a joke, when I was 18. I looked so much like her that a club owner who happened to be at my job asked me to make an appearance at a major venue later that night, as her. I was escorted like royalty around this huge club as people snapped photos and treated me like I was the real thing… And then he paid me $500 for my time! I thought, I could get used to this! I’ve been torturing myself with drag ever since!I started playing look-alike characters in shows, and eventually developed my drag persona Nicole Halliwell in 2007. Nicole has taken me places I thought I’d never go! Today, I run one of the most popular drag shows in Fort Lauderdale called #DRINKNDRAG with an incredible cast, just celebrated my third anniversary at LIPS (The Ultimate in Drag Dining!), and I am fortunate enough to work for many venues, clubs, and bars all over the state, with some of the most amazing entertainers you’ll ever meet!I’ve always been inspired by Elvira – I identify with her spooky goofy valley-girl-meets-Mae-West attitude, with double entendres and sass. I call her my drag mother! She’s definitely my ‘Britney’.. super iconic! I started drag because of her! I consider myself a comedy and character queen. I love to act and bring characters to life, pretty and ugly. I’m inspired by pop culture. I love re-creating things in the moment, whether it’s popular TV show characters, movie stars, or political figures. I love adding my own touch to things, most recently, Harley Quinn. One of my life-changing moments was creating a drag version of the Spice Girls, to meet the real Mel B in Miami, and getting photographed with her and splashed across headlines and newspapers, TV shows, all over Europe, the UK, and US as a “Spice Girls Reunion”… only to end up bringing the group to LA to appear in front of her on America’s Got Talent! My current and ongoing projects include all-drag stage adaptions of cult classic movies. My most successful venture, now entering into it’s third year this Halloween in Fort Lauderdale is HOCUS POCUS LIVE ON STAGE– (where I play Winifred Sanderson) which brings insanely accurate look-alike characters to the stage in a live-action, 100% lip-synced, screen accurate version of the movie.
