The new it boy of the visual arts scene that you ought to know is Bob Bottle (It’s kinda become his name, even though he says it refers to his work)! We first saw the 21-year-old cutie’s work in Cazwell’s Spicy and Downtown videos last year. Since then he has been scene all over Instagram, most notably for his imagery for Susanne Bartsch’s mega-popular parties, Kunst and On Top, in NYC. His latest project features WOWlebrity Mx Qwerrrk (the face and muva of QwerrrkOut) and her homage to David Bowie, where she embraces a caricature of the singer, created by Belgian illustrator Piepke. Check out Bob’s IG page, and more iconic vids of his below, featuring NYC nightlife icons Susanne Bartsch, Milk (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Forrest Wu, La’Fem Ladosha, Nomi Ruiz, Aquaria, Rify Royalty, Ryan Burke, Amanda Lepore, pornstar Francois Sagat, and PUMP model Dan Bevan.

Bob Bottle:

“Bob Bottle is a project I started almost two years ago with a series of wildly colored oversaturated images of gay porn stars with water bottles over their dicks. The series was a commentary on the commodification and disposability of gay sex in our culture. Over time, I began injecting my own image into the collages I was creating and became a character that existed in the realm I had created. By allowing myself to be an element in the work amongst porn stars floating around in these fantastically colorful cyber-environments, I could express my relationship to porn, the internet, and media. During this time I began experimenting with animation and video, which was brought about through my work with Cazwell, for whom I have directed music videos (Dowtown, Spicy) and created countless visuals for over the past two years.  Recently I have begun working with Susanne Bartsch on a series of projects including flyers for her KUNST party. For this project I created 21 unique animated flyers for each host and performer of the party. These animations simultaneously engage 2D and 3D space in constructed collage environments in which the figure exists.”
