GINGER MINJ: THE ALBUM PREMIERE celebrates the release of her first solo album, Ginger Minj: Sweet T. New York audiences will be the first to hear Minj perform many of the songs off the album live for the first time anywhere. The set list includes Losing My Religion, You Think You’re a Man and Leaving It All Behind.

Ginger Minj appeared on Season 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and appears in the current season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars. In 2015 she appeared at the Laurie Beechman in her autobiographical musical piece Crossdresser for Christ, which returned for several encore dates, as well as a holiday-themed show. Ginger had a song on the 2015 album Christmas Queens, and is releasing a solo album to coincide with the upcoming Beechman show. Ginger has long reigned as The Comedy Queen of The South, winning pageant titles including “Miss Gay United States 2013,” “Miss National Comedy Queen 2012” and others. Originally from Leesburg, Florida – a town so small they didn’t even have a McDonald’s – she now calls Orlando home.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue, $22 plus a $20 food/drink minimum, September 22-25
