Friday 10.17

Resident DJs Miss Modular, Kevington, and Dr Maz spin indie rock & pop, post-punk, swedish pop and girl groups for an über trendy tribe of hipsters. Tonight’s guest Theocracy of the Broadway hit musical Hair hits the turntables with a few groovy psychedelic tunes.

Don Hill’s, 511 Greenwich St at Spring St, 212-334-1390, 11:30pm, $5, www.mondo-nyc.com

We heard Pyramid Club was closed…that just goes to show, you can’t get caught up in the gossip girls! The long-running dance party hosted by Chip Duckett is all about staying in the 80’s…since we weren’t around then, this is a good bit of a history lesson on how the homos partied back-in-the-day.

Pyramid Club, 101 Ave A bet 6th and 7th Sts, 212-420-1590, 10pm, $8

Saturday 10.18

New York party boy Josh Wood has yet another new dance party. The monthly fete sponsored by Armani Exchange launches tonight with a live performance by Swedish pop sensation Lykke Li, singing hit song Little Bit. Plus, tribal sounds upstairs by Dj Hector Fonseca, and launch of Joe Oppedisano’s new book Uncensored downstairs.

Santos Party House, 100 Lafayette St at Walker St, 212-714-4646, 10pm, $15, www.joshwoodproductions.com

Rated X: The Panty Party

Leather and lace is the theme for tonight’s revelers at Rated X. For what seems like forever, Michael T and Theo have been pimping out brilliant smut gatherings in the Downtown NYC scene. The tradition continues this evening with performances by Dead Stars of Hollywood and The Mood. Plus, DJs Jess and Twig The Wonderkid keep the beat with rock, new wave, goth, and disco.
