Róisín Murphy

The former lead singer of electronic duo Moloko has done good for herself since leaving her dead-beat boyfriend and former band. Due to a few cool disco tracks on recent album Overpowered, and fab videos full of Margiela looks, Brit-babe Miss Murphy is serving as the current cross-over queen on the indie/dance scene.

The Killers + The Envy Corps

Lead singer Brandon Flowers of The Killers has tolerated tons of hater attacks over the years on his fashion sense, the legitamacy of the band’s indie street cred, and that little tiff between them and The Bravery. Now, the over-hyped trend of the guitar boy bands has dissipated, and only the true talents are still around. Tonight’s show is sold out, and where exactly is The Bravery these days?

World Zombie Day

WTF!!! It’s World Zombie Day! Apparently the dead are rising in increasing numbers in search of booze. The only way to save our alcohol supply is to hit up every bar on the L.E.S. and drink up…disguised as zombies ourselves of course! The crawl starts at Beauty Bar, to Whole Foods on Union Square, to Halloween Adventure, and finally ending up at Washington Square Park. Later tonight, a live performance by The Living Dead Girlz at Knitting Factory. Dress creatively corpse-like!
