It’s gonna be a bit chilly for today’s annual No Pants Subway Ride…severe shrinkage is expected! NPSR is the brainchild of Charlie Todd, and improvisation performer and teacher in NYC. His events are more like installations than just shambolic acts of pointless mayhem. Check out his site www.improveverywhere.com for a list of meeting points and rules for the event. I was on the 2 train on Sunday and witness some of this stunt. It was quite fun to see the entire platform of people at 18th St & 7th Av standing in a row for the length of the platform without their pants. I guess I didn’t check Craig’s list that morning to see the plan of action but I was so pleased to see something artistic being done on New York subways that didn’t involve a boombox or a paper cup of donations.
