DJ Jess

For the discerning few still looking for a few guitar licks, DJ Jess and Alex Malfunction are up to the task. Indie, rock, pop, and disco electro are played to a crowd reminiscing the good ol’ days of what the East Village might have been like if they were alive then. Special performance by Peppermint Gummybear vs Beyoncé.

Glamdammit Bowie Birthday Bash

David Bowie remains the face of glam rock enthusiasts, even though his glammed-up look was really the collaborative effort of Kabuki make-up expert Tomasu Boru and Elizabeth Arden hairstylist Evelyn Paget. But without his androgynous efforts, straight boys wouldn’t really have an excuse for wearing a bit of foundation on occasion. Tonight, Twig The Wonderkid, Michael T, and Harley Sears are celebrating Bowie’s B-day with tribute band Ziggy Starlet, Theodore Grimm, and cabaret by Stormy Leather.

Don Hill’s, 511 Greenwich St at Spring St, 212-334-1390, 10pm, $10, www.glamdammitnyc.com

Dj Johnny Dynell spins mainfloor.
