Micachu and the Shapes + Tanlines
TUESDAY 30
London’s Rough Trade Records have managed to stay relevant as the label that still cares about artists and music, even if many of the bands they put out never reach mega-commercial status. And this would be true of avant-noise project Micachu and the Shapes. Their recent debut release Jewellery falls into a clamourous and poppy sound, with lots of aggravated distorted guitar. You probably won’t hear Micachu on the dance floor at any tired club you usually fall up in, so you better get your ass out to their show tonite! Tanlines opens.
