A trip to NYC by Berlin artist Stefan Fähler

In April, I took part in this exhibition in New York and my sweet boyfriend Tom gave me flight tickets as a birthday present to actually be there. We missed the opening though, but the curator told me that some famous directors dropped by and bought some of my screen prints. I was totally overwhelmed by the news and as soon as we left the gallery, we started celebrating and drinking the whole day!

The same night we went to this bear party and kept on drinking heavily. Later we went to this after party at another bar on Christopher Street called “RockBar”. When we entered the club, we were surprised to find all these photocopies of beautiful dicks lying on the floor. I didn’t actually remember to pick some up, but the next morning, after having wonderful hangover sex, I discovered some pictures in my pocket. I tried to make these beautiful pictures even more beautiful. So this turned out to be a series called “New York Cocks”.
