Bowie Ball
Hedda Lettuce: Lettuce Rejoice 2011
Hedda’s crisp comedy and delicious song parodies have made this festive celebration a hit for the past ten years. Look forward to hearing such songs as ‘Here Comes Tranny Clause’, the classic song, ‘Sleigh Ride’, in Hedda’s hands turns into a gay mans quest for sex on Grinder, and ‘Do You Hear What I Hear’ is now, ‘Do You Think That He’s Queer,’ about a fag hag desperately seeking a sexual relationship with a gay man. Plus, a holiday homage to the recently departed Amy Winehouse. Too soon perhaps? Not for the sardonic Miss Lettuce.

Escort + Midnight Magic
NYC’s own Disco revivalist group Escort perform tracks from debut album tonight. The 17 piece dance orchestra turns out plenty of old school hi hats and throbbin drum rhythms, but don’t get it twisted, these twirling dollies are as far as you can get from camp cluster crap like Saturday Night Fever!….they’re more like the pulse that never stops at a party that lives forever! Midnight Magic supports, plus DJs Will Automagic and Sean B.
Music Hall of Williamsburg, 66 North 6th St bet Kent and Wythe Aves, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 718-486-5400, 10pm, $20
