SATURDAY 1

dash-snow-studio-visit

The infamous photographic artist Dash Snow was known for his illicit imagery, often featuring scenes of sex, drug-taking, violence, and the pretentious world of art that he himself was a part of. His untimely death at age 27, apparently of a drug overdose, has been called a predictable end for an artist who lead the typical “dark and burdened” artist lifestyle. Tonite, fans can go lay flowers or draw pictures at Deitch Projects, in memory in Snow’s memory. Also, text, videos and mementos by the artist will be displayed.

Deitch Projects, 76 Grand St bet Greene and Wooster Sts, NYC, 212-343-7300, Tuesdays-Saturdays 10am-6pm, free, www.deitch.com
