About Tyler Stone:
Having been influenced by suspense and horror films in his earliest years as a musician, Stone brings his own unique sound to the NYC dance underground. He is a classically trained pianist and percussionist, as well as symphonic composer. His influences range from Bernard Herrmann and Danny Elfman, to Mr. Fingers and The Crookers.
After getting signed to Chicago’s legendary Trax Records in 2014, Tyler released his first album Tale From the East Side, a dark and delightfully bitchy arrangement of house tracks. To acclaim of press and DJ’s worldwide, Stone moved on as creative director to curate I <3 NY, a ferocious 4-on-the-floor 14 track compilation of the bassy, bitchy, and underground sounds of NYC’s best underground house DJ’s.
In addition to House Music, Tyler is a film composer. His list of titles include Vamp Bikers 2, It Gets Better?, and Killer Unicorn. He is currently nominated for Best Original Score at the Nice International Filmmakers Festival of World Cinema for his work on It Gets Better?.
