“My reason for starting drag was honestly a why the fuck not? I was that weird, emo freak that wore girls clothes and ridiculous smeared makeup to school when I was 14; and when I was older, I would go to the club in a face and heels…one day I just finally threw on a wig and a dress and went for it! I’ve been hanging out with drag queens since I started college because my best friend is a drag photographer and queen himself (Pamela Manderson, honestly he’s awful), and I’ve been painting my whole life because my dad is an artist. So, blending those things and doing drag myself just kind of made sense. Marilyn Manson is probably my biggest inspiration (however cliche that may be at this point…). I mean, he’s essentially a drag queen, and his visuals and music and energy have always been so interesting. I’ve always looked up to Milla Jovovich too! She does such cool roles and comes off so sleek and powerful in her movies.  I prefer my drag to look like a bitch with a bad attitude, rather than anything delicate.

I’ve been trying to invest more time into my drag and take it a little more seriously. I’ve been overworking myself at my job for the past year and I’m realizing I need to cut that back and enjoy life more! I started hosting a new monthly night for young queens and it’s so cool to find all these young kids with so much creativity and passion. I always hear queens being so bitter about how popular drag has gotten, but I think it’s pretty bad ass for a bunch of teenagers to be running around in drag!”
