She has also initiated and taught courses\u00a0 on Punk, Bob<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Marley, Reggae and Dub and\u00a0 right now, is teaching about Fela Kuti,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>the legendary Nigerian activist creator of the Afrobeat sound,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>currently being celebrated in the &#8220;Fela! Musical&#8221;. A Londoner, she is<\/em><br \/>\n<em>known as a writer, broadcaster post-punk musician, and author of five<\/em><br \/>\n<em>books, including two on Bob Marley (&#8220;The Book of Exodus,&#8221; Three Rivers<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Press\/Random House,)\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Goldman brings a unique perspective to this\u00a0 course. A founding<\/em><br \/>\n<em>member of prototypical synth-pop new wave combo, The Flying Lizards,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>and dubmaster Adrian Sherwood&#8217;s On-U Sound Possee, Goldman has<\/em><br \/>\n<em>co-written tracks for artists including Massive Attack, Coldcut,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Berlin uber-producer Moritz von Oswald, Ryuichi Sakamoto (Yellow Magic<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Orchestra) and Luscious Jackson&#8217;s Jill Cunniff, and is part of the<\/em><br \/>\n<em>infamous European Chicks on Speed art\/music collective. Her solo 45,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Launderette, co-produced with PiL&#8217;s John Lydon, is frequently<\/em><br \/>\n<em>re-issued on compilations like &#8220;Anti NY&#8221; and &#8220;Disco!
