And I can&#8217;t stop listening to it! This is\u00a0singer-songwriter, rapper, bassist and vocalist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Meshell.Ndegeocello\">Meshell Ndegeocello&#8217;s<\/a> 1oth album (Really!!!) and probably her best-to-date. <em>Pour Une Ame Souveraine,<\/em> a tribute album to the late Nina Simone, has more than done the lady of soul justice. &#8220;Simone is our people&#8217;s Bach,&#8221; says Ndegeocello. &#8220;She is the foundation for making popular music interesting and her activist side makes her a heroine to us&#8221;. There is not a bad track on here. Sensual soul, pop and funk with\u00a0mellifluous orchestral are the sweet ingredients here. Featuring collaborations with Sin\u00e9ad O&#8217;Connor, Lizz Wright, Cody ChesnuTT, and the intense track <em>House of the Rising Sun<\/em>, feat. Toshi Reagon, I can&#8217;t believe that this masterpiece of an album came and went hardly noticed.
