NYC\u2019s Lindsey<\/a> has shared her new single \u201cJack\u201d, produced by The Twilite Tone (Kanye West\/ John Legend\/ Pusha T) and Sammy Bananas (Fool\u2019s Gold). The song originated with Lindsey and The Twilite Tone\u2019s mutual passion for the intersection of 80s R&B and dance music and desire to put a contemporary spin on the sounds of artists like Dynasty, Loose Ends, Lil Louis and, of course, Steve “Silk” Hurley.<\/p>\n

Lindsey (aka DJ Lindsey) has been evolving her intergenre naturalism through her beloved DJ nights and original music. She was the co-creator of the influential Negroclash party at APT, which explored African American\u2019s contributions to electronic music and her party with DJ Myles, The Hump, explored the years \u201988-\u201998 and was voted People\u2019s Choice: Best Party by Paper Magazine. She has sung back up vocals for The Rapture, Beans, Great Weekend, and has released a 12\u201d single with Eli Escobar. Even Prince has called on her skills for private events! \u201cJack\u201d embodies the heart of Lindsey\u2019s aesthetic, which jumps across genres and is unafraid to mix a history lesson into the fun.<\/p>\n
