Nomi Ruiz<\/strong> of Jessica 6<\/a> and Greek producer MANSTA<\/a> (Manolis Stavroulakis) have teamed up for a cover of George Michael\u2019s<\/a> <\/strong>A Different Corner.\u00a0<\/em>The heart-rending rework is a perfect fit with Ruiz’s sultry voice- which somehow manages to comfort you in an emotional blanket of her pain, passion and aspirations. This IS by far her rawest and strongest track since White Horse<\/a> and Prisoner of Love<\/a> in 2011.<\/p>\n

Nomi Ruiz is NYC-based trans woman, singer and model who first turned heads as lead vocalist on Hercules and Love Affair’s debut album, with hit single You Belong<\/a>. She has since formed her own band Jessica 6, and most most recently released dance floor burner Down Low<\/a>,\u00a0off The Capricorn EP<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I had just escaped an abusive relationship when MANSTA\u00a0played me his version of this George Michael song. The lyrics shocked me and the production moved me. Singing it saved me.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
