About<\/strong>:”LaMona Divine originally is a rejected daughter of drag icon Divine<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0I graduated with a degree in fashion, and work as an assistant to a fashion designer. My passion for fashion brought life to LaMona. I always admired conceptual runways and looks with good stories that go beyond clothes (almost like art), and my drag persona was born of this creative need to tell a story through the looks. My biggest inspirations are strong women who use their looks to express themselves, like Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer<\/strong>), Madonna<\/strong>, Barbarella (Jane Fonda<\/strong>), and obviously… Divine\u2026and so many others!\u00a0I’m currently rehearsing for a special national performance for a big national party, and I am so excited! I also have an idea to launch a short film, do more photoshoots and launch more audio\/visual projects, such as Government Hooker<\/a><\/em> (below), launched in January of this year.”<\/p>\n
