“After living in Brooklyn for several years and hanging around many influential drag queens, I moved to back to my hometown of Miami. I found myself happier, but there was one thing missing – the queer scene. Although I consider myself a shy person and never thought I would be able to do drag, my roommate asked me one day if I wanted to perform at his party and I said ‘yes’. From then on, I continued to perform regularly at the same party and over time have developed into Queef Latina!<\/div>\n

Apart from doing drag, I have taken it upon myself to spread the word of queer acceptance in a traditionally conservative city like Miami. I am currently organizing a few events with my bio-king best friend Jorgie Maloof (Hairy Bradshaw<\/strong><\/a>), one being WIGWOOD<\/a><\/strong>– an annual queer festival much like Bushwig<\/strong><\/a>, but with more emphases on educational lectures, film screenings, queer bands and musicians, DJs, and of course drag queens and kings. And that’s just the beginning!”<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
