Dancer, model, teacher\u2026and GORGEous BALLROOM ICON\u00a0Leiomy Maldonado<\/strong>, aka\u00a0Wonder\u00a0Woman of Vogue,\u00a0will be amongst the recipients of the\u00a0Stonewall Community Foundation Vision Award 2018<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0tomorrow night in NYC (along with\u00a0Clara Yoon<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0API Rainbow Parents of PFLAG NYC<\/a>). The transgender rights activist was a member of the dance troupe\u00a0Vogue Evolution<\/strong>\u00a0(which was featured on Season 4 of\u00a0America\u2019s Best Dance Crew<\/a>)\u2026has worked with artists such as\u00a0Willow Smith<\/strong>,\u00a0Icona Pop<\/strong>, and\u00a0CocoRosie<\/b>\u2026and was featured in the Nike\u00a0#BeTrue<\/em>\u00a0advertisement (see below).<\/p>\n

Guests will gather to celebrate and support Stonewall’s work of mobilizing resources to advance LGBTQ rights, freedom, and justice. Past recipients include Lee Daniels<\/strong>, Cyndi Lauper<\/strong>, Janet Mock<\/strong><\/a>, Tony Kushner<\/strong>, journalist\u00a0Ronan Farrow<\/strong> and\u00a0Marizol Leyva<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0&\u00a0Selenis\u00a0Leyva <\/a><\/strong>(Orange Is The New Black).
