\u201cMy name is Addison Rose Vincent<\/em> (they\/them) and I\u2019m a proud, nonbinary, transfeminine person! I was born in Canada and raised in Michigan, but I moved to California when I was 17 to come out and live authentically. While attending Chapman University in Orange County, I came out as gay in 2010, then as trans and nonbinary in 2013. That Fall semester, I was the first<\/em> openly trans or nonbinary person to rush for a Chapman sorority, and the following Spring I was the first<\/em> openly trans or nonbinary person to compete in the Delta Queen pageant on campus (I won Miss Congeniality!). After graduating with a BA in Peace Studies in 2015, I went on to serve several organizations advocating for LGBTQ+ people, including the Victory Fund<\/a>, Los Angeles LGBT Center<\/a>, TransLatin@ Coalition<\/a>, Strength United<\/a>, and APAIT<\/a>. I currently serve as the Founder & CEO of Break The Binary LLC<\/a><\/strong>, the Co-Founder & Co-Director of History Reimagined<\/strong>, and the Interim Executive Director of the Nonbinary & Intersex Recognition Project<\/strong>. In my free time, I teach ceramics at POT in Los Angeles, and spend quality time with my husband Ethan (he\/they) and our dog Stevie.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
