\u201cShequida is Jamaican-born, studied opera at Juilliard, and has a five-octave vocal range.\u00a0Shequida was the first full-time drag character on national TV\u2026 playing the role of\u00a0Wendi Mercury\u00a0<\/em>on the long-running ABC TV soap opera,\u00a0One Life to Live<\/strong>.\u00a0Shequida was also the first queen to make it to the top 20 on\u00a0America\u2019s Got Talent<\/a>. She wrote and starred in two Off-Broadway shows which played in NYC, Berlin, and Athens. She also played the lead role in the opera\u00a0Vera of Las Vegas<\/em>. Shequida was the first international drag performer to perform in Tel Aviv.\u00a0Shequida has also been involved in the opening of countless bars and clubs like\u00a0Bartini,<\/em>\u00a0Industry Bar<\/em>,\u00a0Roxy<\/em>,\u00a0Club USA, XL,<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Hardware<\/em>, to name a few.\u00a0She is currently directing, hosting, and MCing the\u00a0Voss Events<\/a>\u00a0holiday show\u00a0SANTA\u2019S SECRET<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in Hudson Yard\u2026as well as hosting\u00a0Drag Wars<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Mondays at\u00a0Pieces Bar<\/em>, and\u00a0The Shequida Show<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0at Hardware\u00a0Bar<\/em>\u00a0Thursdays.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
