Nomi Ruiz<\/a><\/strong> gives us another glimpse into her nostalgic R&B\/Hip Hop Soul album Hi-Def Femme<\/strong> (out 9\/22) with the release of her second single Be Your Girl<\/strong>\u2013 a 90s golden era-inspired summer jam that explores the power of being present with a summer lover. \u201cI love the mystery behind getting to know someone intimately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wanted to capture that moment of initial touch, to show these lovers exploring each other for the first time over the course of a day.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

For me, there\u2019s something so intimate about sharing space with someone while watching them in their element. Allowing them to be themselves while learning more about how they operate by simply letting them be.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
