Night of a Thousand Stevies 22: Dreams Unwind

Submitted by on Thursday, 10 May 2012No Comment

FRIDAY 11

The twenty-second annual Night of a 1000 Stevies – the largest and most beloved Stevie Nicks fan event in the world, returns to NYC! NOTS 22: Dreams Unwind was inspired by the instantly iconic Moonlight (A Vampire’s Dream) from last year’s STEVIE release In Your Dreams (and its campy, fanged, gorgeous, owl-heavy video.) The 2012 edition also pays homage to Stevie’s many dream-laced songs and references, most famously the Fleetwood Mac opus Dreams, and the Stevie mantra “Dreams Unwind”, borrowed from Rhiannon.

Scheduled to perform are returning stars HATTIE HATHAWAY, BELLADONNA (CALIFORNIA), THE HO-HOs (CATHY CERVENKA and JILL PANGALLO), POISON EVE and DARLINDA JUST DARLINDA, JAZMEN FLOWERS (MISSISSIPPI), AMBER MARTIN, VANGELINE THEATER with JONATHAN NOSAN, ST. EVE, harpist MIA THEODORATUS with Russian band LA KONGA RUSSE, GYPSY WILDE, CHARLENE CORAN (COLORADO), MACHINE DAZZLE and DARRELL THORNE of THE PIXIE HARLOTS, THE DIVINE GRACE, BILLY O, THE RACHEL KLEIN THEATER, HEATHER LITTEER (with NED STRESEN-REUTER and NATH-ANN CARRERA), JOHNNY QUINLAN and LADY ZOMBIE. ENCHANTRESSES OF CEREMONY will include show founder CHI CHI VALENTI and the “all-Stevie, all-Fleetwood” DJ roster features NOTS master mixer JOHNNY DYNELL, NOTS 21 discovery VJ TRE (D.C.) who will share original NICKS multimedia and rare clips, and special guest IAN FFORD, of LONG BLACK VEIL at MOTHER and the NEW YORK VAMPIRE BALL.

Suggested Dresscode: White on white witchery, Rhiannon cloaks, dreamcatchers, gossamer shawls, the vampyre Stevie Nicks, enchanted eveningwear, victorian ballgowns, Edgar Alle Poe effects, dreamy stares, Southern gothic, brown owl inspired, lady from the mountain or total Stevie Nicks realness (all Millenia!).

Highline Ballroom, 431 West 16th St bet Ninth & Tenth Aves, NYC, 212-414-5994, 9pm, $25
