Logo TV & SiriusXM’s Out Q present Devil-May-Care, a monthly concert series devoted to gay music acts. Tonight features performances by RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Sharon Needles, discoliscious band Liquid Diet, and transsexual icon Amanda LePore. The evening will also be recorded live and and will air as a special concert presentation on SiriusXM’s OutQ channel. Catch the afterparty with Amanda at NYC’s fave tinker bell ball My Chiffon Is Wet at Easternbloc.

Sharon Needles debut album, PG-13, rocketed to #4 on the iTunes pop CD chart immediately upon its release. Needles, the winner of Season Four of RuPaul’s Drag Race, is an accomplished musical performer blending her unique sense of music and fashion into an unforgettable stage show. Needles appeared last year as Frank N. Furter in a stage production of The Rocky Horror Show. A vegetarian, she is the face of an advertising campaign for PETA.liquid diet

Often compared to such established acts as The Scissor Sisters, Animotion and The Human League, Liquid Diet is a scrumptious musical cocktail fronted by Aussie bombshell Georgia Haege and Californian charmer Billy Hanson. Music master Electronathan tops off the elixir. The music of Liquid Diet has been described as “equal parts disco and electro, with a healthy dose of over-the-top lyrics.” Released by NinthWave Records, the band’s debut EP features the title track Hand Dance (an ode to self-pleasure), the disco-licious jam Nude, and a dreamy electro cover of George Michael’s Father Figure. They have been seen at venues including Griffin, Le Poisson Rouge and Webster Hall.100

The world’s most famous transsexual and an effervescent fixture on the New York scene, Amanda Lepore has been at the cutting edge of culture since the club kid era, breaking and re-making the rules for music, marketing, and gender. Her album, I…Amanda Lepore, is the culmination of her long reign as the queen of Gotham’s button pushing (and button popping) carnival, cementing her status as the most prevalent risk taking creative artist and good-time gal after dark. A sort of woozy inflatable doll, Amanda comes off like a Jeff Koons statue of Marilyn Monroe, a walking work in progress whose nonstop array of surgeries have made her a unique comment on womanhood, and every inch a dame.
