Goldfrapp + Martha Wainright

The UK electro group best known for synthpop sensibilities and sideshow theatrics have endured a downward spiral since releasing Supernature back in 2005. Alison Goldfrapp’s latest effort Seventh Trade did hit the top of the charts, but it’s a bit of a downbeat bore. Luckily Rufus Wainright’s sister Martha is sharing the stage tonight.

Radio City Music Hall, 1260 Sixth Ave at 50th St, 212-247-4777, 8pm, $39.50-$75, www.goldfrapp.co.uk

Ballroom Awards

Madonna might have brought the Ball culture to mainstream awareness, but it’s the strength and commitment of the LGBT community that keeps it going. Legendary House of Mizrahi presents the 16th annual Ballroom Awards with categories like Thugs in Spring, Pretty Boys in Pink, and The Wicked European Embassador vs The Classic American President. If this Ball world is a bit of a mystery to you, this is the night to see the best in show all under one chandelier.

The Lab, 1428 Fulton St bet Tompkins and Marcy Aves, Brooklyn, 347-575-9492, 2pm, $30, www.walk4mewednesdays.com
