London-based drag performer/comedian Virgin Xtravaganzah, who calls herself a 2,000-year-old virgin who came down to Earth to be a superstar, is doing heaven’s work in new visual for Cleansed– a re-envisioning of underground house music hit Ima Read by Zebra Katz, featuring Njena Reddd Foxxx…which is a super dope homage to the ballroom scene in New York. In Xtravaganzah’s version (dir. Kassandra Powell), she has chosen to depict a narrative about an apparent white supremacist miscreant who has committed a murder. The beatific Virgin chooses to forgive his crime, cleansing him of his sins…ultimately choosing love over hate. Check it out below!
