“I’m Kenzi Sho…a visual artist with many different tricks up my sleeve and many different faces. From body painter, mua, and hairstylist, ask me about anything in regards to the arts and I most probably know a thing or two…as I’m always constantly learning and creating one way or another. I used to want to be an illustrator and work in animation. I was heavily into painting my whole life. Once I got comfortable with my self-identity, I started combining the arts with the 3D as a form of self-expression and discovery. I wanted to channel not only the characters I imagined; due to my knack of escapism, but the emotions and overall general elements of what makes me human, and what I’m going through at the moment. Being trapped in any invisible box, such as labels and stereotypes, is something I want to break out of and inspire other people to do so as well.

We are more than what we think we are and what society deems appropriate, or not in regards to how we express ourselves and the things we find comfort in. I aim to inspire others to break out of their shell and to create and express themselves no matter what age, race, or gender they may be. Art is therapy…whether it’s painting, sculpting, or adding a little shimmer on the eye. Self-love and art is something I hope to provoke in people, in an attempt to help heal and ground whoever is ready to pursue that path. I feel like those elements are one of the first steps to growth and acceptance of ourselves and others.”
