About:

“Hello! I’m Bo Quinn- a self-proclaimed makeup clown from the UK!

After moving to London in 2017 to study, I quickly discovered the diverse nightlife and immediately immersed myself in the underground drag/club kid scene. This resulted in me starting to explore makeup and transformation as part of my fine art practice, taking inspiration from 90s club kid culture with elements of new school drag. I’d describe Bo as an androgynous, drag clown, alien creature… a makeup queen who can serve a fierce drag look as well as giving you Ronald McDonald on the side.

After graduating my Fine Art degree from my student house bedroom in the first 2020 lockdown, I continued to experiment, creating different looks in an attempt to stay creative. This resulted in me starting my Swipe for the Wipe series on Instagram, posting a close-up image of my makeup looks alongside the prints of the look on a face wipe. These have recently allowed me to experiment more freely with many different makeup styles, pushing me to focus on things like my use of colour, shape, and character development.”
