Loren J
Age: 28
Location: Chicago, Illinois
About:
“My name is Loren J, aka JForPay, and I’m a queen and non-binary trans woman. I’m most well known as a costume designer, having designed looks for Denali, Naomi Smalls, Saint (Dragula season 3), Bambi Banks-Couleé, and many more. I also serve as part of A Queer Pride– a Chicago collective that creates events with a focus on the voices of queer, trans, Black, and POC artists.
As a queen, I like to bring together my interests in art, theater, and glamor to make drag that is visually stimulating and emotionally captivating. For me, fashion is a tool to help me transport my audience into my creative world. I want people to feel how I feel when I create…moved, transformed, connected.”
