RuPaul’s Drag Race standout (Season 7, All Stars Season 2 and Season 6), Ginger Minj, has released her third studio album, Double Wide Diva, today, Friday, September 17. The skillfully self-proclaimed “Glamour Toad” is tapping into her own life story to share a collection of authentic and empowering songs, revealing a never-before-seen side of Ginger Minj. Fans can see an exclusive behind the scenes video on Entertainment Tonight today.

This may be my story but I feel like the message is pretty universal,” Ginger Minj said. “No matter who you are or where you are from, find your inner diva and make her double wide!

The global star’s official debut in the country music genre, features 8 total tracks, including the lead single, “Walk Tall,” which was co-written with country music singer/songwriter Brandon Stansell and Jeffrey James. The emotionally charged song was inspired by a pivotal moment in Ginger’s life and showcases her captivating vocal range. The album also features Ginger’s version of the iconic country music classic, “Friends In Low Places,” originally performed by Garth Brooks. “Sticks” was co-written by Ginger Minj, Brett McLaughlin and Gabe Lopez, and the song was produced by the esteemed Leland (RuPaul’s Drag Race, Boy, Erased). Ginger co-wrote each original song on the album, six of which alongside Brandon Stansell and Jeffrey James with producer Aaron Aiken. A vinyl deluxe edition of the album, that includes 2 bonus commentary tracks, is available for pre-order now alongside a standard vinyl edition as well. (via The Country Note)
