Brooklyn Juicy Mugler

Age: 19

Location: Brooklyn, New York

About:

“Growing up, I was always misunderstood. I was really spoilt as a child…so anything I wanted, I got!

Before I started dancing, I used to actually jump Double Dutch professionally with the Jazzy Jumpers, from 3rd grade until 6th grade.

I had an amazing coach named Toni and she was one of the best people to have in my corner at that age. I used to fight and get into trouble a lot, so I eventually had to quit the team. My mom decided to put me in an all-boys school and I hated it. I started dancing with a dance group called Left Our Mark, owned and choreographed by a man named Marc Franklin. During a practice, there was a small vogue section and that was the first time I had ever seen anyone vogue. I instantly fell in love! Mr. Franklin actually had friends in ballroom and was able to connect me to them.

All day, I would watch clips of LeiomyTamiyahBaby HurricaneLil James, and more.

I walked my first ball (Kiki ball) when I was 15-years-old and my clip actually went really viral, LOL! From then, every single house had offered to take me in but I knew I wanted to be a Juicy (House of Juicy Couture). My mother moved to OKC (Oklahoma City) when I was 16-years-old and I decided not to go because I knew if I went, I would have let the younger me down. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make for myself but it was worth it in the end. Being so young without any parental figure, you’d think I’d be another statistic. I became a Juicy, where I met the Overall Father DayDay and the Founding Mother Courtney Balenciaga. The House of Juicy Couture groomed me into the voguing demon that I am today. If it wasn’t for them, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today. I finished high school when I was 18-years-old, on time and with honors! Having my family come from OKC and having the Juicy’s there made me break down. That was the first time, in a long time, I got to let my guard down and be vulnerable. Fast forward to now, you can catch me, Brooklyn, on your TV screen on Season 3 of HBO’s Legendary!!! There’s so much more to see from me…so, just get ready ’cause I’m not done yet!”
