“Dulce Strutts is the camp diva of Dallas! I have been doing drag for 7 years now; and I’m currently a working queen throughout the DFW area, as well as a cast member at the new Hamburger Mary’s Dallas! My drag is over the top and full of bright colors. I love experimenting with exaggerated silhouettes and playful fabrics. Sewing has become one of my favorite parts about drag. It’s so rewarding to create a look from scratch and turn heads at every gig.
My performance style consists of classic drag drama served with comedy and stupidity. I’d like to think I’m keeping the tradition of spoken word in drag mixes alive!
Drag is truly my art form. Transforming into this larger-than-life character allows me to express myself and entertain others at the same time. It’s given me a career, a community, and a sense of identity.”
