Join R.E.M.’s frontman Michael Stipe for a conversation with New York Times Magazine editor Hugo Lindgren, featuring the films of the “Collapse Into Now Film Project.” The films accompanying each song on R.E.M.‘s latest album, Collapse Into Now, were directed by notable artists and filmmakers and personally curated by Michael Stipe. The list of directors includes Oscar-nominated actor James Franco, filmmaker, photographer, and conceptual artist Sam Taylor-Wood, and Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker Albert Maysles.
