Dolce & Gababba’s new book Diamonds and Pearls

Dolce & Gabbana have created an exclusive book that pays tribute to diamonds and pearls – those fascinating cult objects and icons of luxury and perfection.
The search for perfection and beauty led Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to use gems and precious stones on their garments throughout the 80s and 90s. It’s something that is still present, albeit more subtly, in their more recent collections.
The photos, which feature jewelled pieces from past collections, were done with mannequins by photographer Guenter Parth, and various style experts analyse the conceptions of beauty and physical perfection in fashion.
